Professional Background

Dr. Shaun Best is an Associate Professor of Radiology at the University of Kansas Medical Center. He currently serves as the Division Director of the Body Imaging Division. Dr. Best has previously served as the Body Imaging Fellowship Director and Peer Learning Liaison for the Body Imaging Division.

Dr. Best received his medical degree and completed his radiology residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center. He completed an abdominal imaging fellowship, with focus on MRI, at the University of California San Diego. His clinical interests include CT and MRI of the abdomen and oncologic imaging. He is also active in peer learning/review, quality improvement, and resident and medical student education. Dr. Best has received multiple teaching awards for resident education.

Dr. Best is an active member in the Society of Abdominal Radiology.
