KU School of Medicine-Wichita offers a unique and robust gastroenterology training experience in a fully accredited ACGME fellowship program.

Our program is designed to offer comprehensive training that will allow fellows to acquire the knowledge, skills (procedural and nonprocedural) and behavioral attributes necessary for success as a gastroenterologist, including compassionate, professional, comprehensive care of patients in all health care settings (acute care hospital, endoscopy procedural settings and longitudinal ambulatory settings). Fellows will work within a health care system that prioritizes collaborative, team-based patient care that focuses on patient satisfaction and high-quality care. Through rotation experiences, simulations, didactics and scholarly activities, the program evaluates fellows on their trajectory of learning as they progress through fellowship.

Fellows completing training in the KU School of Medicine-Wichita Gastroenterology Fellowship Program will graduate well prepared as outstanding physicians ready for careers in clinical and academic gastroenterology and hepatology.
