Slavica Ecclestone has a net worth of $1.2 billion. She acquired this fortune through her modeling career and her divorce settlement with her ex-husband, Bernie Ecclestone.
Slavica Ecclestone, formerly known as Slavica Radic, was born on June 2, 1958, in Rijeka, Croatia. Her parents, Jovi Radic and Ljubica Malic, were from Serbian villages in Bosnia-Herzegovina. The family initially moved to Croatia in search of better job opportunities but eventually returned to northern Bosnia. Slavica’s parents divorced when she was seven years old.
Slavica Ecclestone started her professional career as a model during her teenage years. She worked with renowned designers such as Giorgio Armani and appeared in editorials, ad campaigns, and runway shows. In 1982, while modeling for Armani, she met Bernie Ecclestone at a Formula One promotional event held in partnership with the fashion house. Bernie Ecclestone, 28 years her senior, was instantly captivated by her.
Slavica Ecclestone married Bernie Ecclestone in 1985. They have two daughters together, Tamara and Petra Ecclestone. Tamara is a model, socialite, and television personality, married to Jay Rutland, with whom she has one daughter. Petra is a model, fashion designer, and socialite who was previously married to James Stunt and has three children.
Slavica Ecclestone’s net worth has mainly been attributed to her divorce settlement with Bernie Ecclestone. The divorce was finalized in 2009, and she received a $1.2 billion settlement, making it one of the most expensive divorces in history.
Slavica Ecclestone’s net worth primarily consists of the assets she acquired during her marriage to Bernie Ecclestone and the subsequent divorce settlement. The settlement allowed Bernie Ecclestone to receive over half a billion dollars from Slavica’s trust fund. This unusual structure was a result of the transfer of Ecclestone’s assets into Slavica’s name when he faced health issues in the late 1990s. As a result, she technically holds the deeds and pink slips for various assets, leading to the perception that she is the wealthier person.
Overall, Slavica Ecclestone has achieved significant financial success through her modeling career and her divorce settlement, which has contributed to her estimated net worth of $1.2 billion.
