Sakura Haruno is a divisive character within the Naruto fandom and the broader anime community. On the one hand, she’s a prominent and sympathetic female protagonist in a genre almost wholly dominated by male characters. On the other hand, she’s sidelined pretty quickly so the story can focus more on its other protagonists and she’s defined by her attraction to Sasuke for the majority of the story. However, many fans of the series still love her for her heart-wrenching story arc and all of her incredible and bizarre abilities.

Like a lot of characters in Naruto, Sakura is capable of inhuman feats with relative ease. While her superhuman anatomy grants her several amazing abilities at the start of the series, these skills are further honed as the story goes on and she completes extensive medical training. By the end of Naruto and in her appearances in the sequel series, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, Sakura is able to perform techniques that are unknown to the vast majority of the other characters. Sakura’s anatomy is pretty incredible and multifaceted even by Naruto standards, and she has plenty of tricks up her sleeve when it comes to combat, medical work, or getting through her daily life.

Sakura Haruno, however, has even more interesting skills than most. With her basic shinobi skills, her medical ninjutsu, and her super-strength, Sakura's anatomy is pretty fascinating. Aspects of her anatomy even help to inform her personality in the Naruto franchise.

Sakura Has Type O Blood

Blood type might seem like an odd thing to know about an anime character, but blood type is often treated as revealing the same information as a zodiac sign in anime. That's largely because of the personality theories associated with blood types in Japanese pop culture.

According to the theories, because Sakura is Type O, she should be optimistic, passionate, and have great leadership capabilities. That makes sense as Team 7, with Sakura, Naruto, and Sasuke, are definitely regarded as leaders amongst their peers. Likewise, Sakura has nearly unflinching optimism that Sasuke will return to Konoha after he defects, unlike the rest of her generation. She shares her blood type with Kakashi and Temari.

Sakura Doesn't Have Sarada's Umbilical Cord

Some parents keep anatomical keepsakes of their children, like locks of hair from their first haircut, or their first lost tooth as they start to grow up. One that mothers sometimes keep to symbolize the bond between them and their child is the umbilical cord after giving birth. Sakura, however, doesn't have hers from the birth of Sarada.

Instead, Sasuke's former teammate Karin has it. That's because Karin kept it as a reminder that she's bonded to the family as well. Karin was present when Sakura went into labor with Sarada and helped deliver the baby.
