Yes, the game supports online multiplayer co-op throughout the story, dungeons, side-missions, raids, and endgame content. You can join up to 3 friends (meaning it supports 4 players overall). However, you will only be able to join any stages that you have already completed or the next mission that you need to face. This means that if you're at the very start of the game and your friend is at the very end, they can join you as they have already completed it, but you cannot join them.

Equipment and Item Distribution

Any pieces of equipment and items that you find or gain as rewards will appear for each individual player. This means that you do not need to worry about scrambling for the best gear, it's all distributed fairly.
