Chai Der Juin is a high-profile Singaporean personality in the Finance sector who is currently the Permanent Secretary of Development at the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).
In 2013, Chia Der Jiun was appointed as an Assistant Managing Director (Markets & Investment), and he subsequently led the review of the asset allocation of the Official Foreign Reserves.
In 2019, Mr Chia Der Juin gained a massive appointment when he was named as the Deputy Managing Director of Corporate Development where he was able to strengthen the operational resilience of the national payment systems (GIRO, FAST, MEPS+) during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Chia Der Jiun appointed as Managing Director of MAS
On September 4, 2023, It was announced that Chai Der Jiun would become the New Managing Director of the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
He was appointed by the President of the Republic of Singapore pending approval where he will now take over duties from Mr Ravi Menon, who is expected to retire from the Singapore Public Service and step down as Managing Director of MAS as well as from the MAS Board on 31 December 2023.
Chia Der Jiun is designated to be the MAS Managing Director from 1st January 2024 to 31 May 2026 and will also be appointed a Director on the MAS Board on 1 January 2024.
