Glasses should never be cleaned or wiped with a dry cloth, as this may scratch the lenses. DO NOT clean your lenses with Windex or other chemicals, as these products may damage the material or coating of the lenses.

What else can I clean my glasses with?

Use a mild soap, like lotion free-dish soap, and apply it to your frames using your fingertips. Rinse the frames thoroughly under warm water. Use a moist towelette with rubbing alcohol to clean the nosepads and earpieces of your frames.

Can you use glass cleaner on prescription glasses?

DON’T use household glass or surface cleaners to clean your eyeglasses. These products have ingredients that can damage eyeglass lenses and coatings. DON’T use paper towels, napkins, tissues or toilet paper to clean your lenses. These can scratch or smear your lenses or leave them full of lint.
