Who is Yul Edochie?

Yul Chibuike Daniel Edochie, widely known as Yul Edochie, is a Nigerian actor born on January 7, 1982. He takes his name after the renowned Russian actor Yul Brynner. Hailing from Anambra state, Nigeria, Yul Edochie is the son of the famous Nigerian actor Pete Edochie. He was raised in both Lagos and Enugu and is the youngest among six siblings. 

Yul Edochie tied the knot at the young age of 22. He pursued his higher education at the University of Port Harcourt, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dramatic Arts. Yul is happily married to May Aligwe, and together they have three sons and a daughter, namely Dani Edochie, Kambi Edochie, Karl Edochie, and Zane Yul Edochie.

Why May Edochie Divorce Yul Edochie? 

There have been rumors about the potential divorce of May Edochie and her husband, Yul, but a close friend of May has recently denied these claims and confirmed that their marriage is still intact. Veteran Nollywood actress and producer, Joyce Kalu, also reached out to offer comfort to May amid the speculation surrounding their relationship.

The rumors of their divorce gained traction after reports surfaced that Yul Edochie returned May's bride price. However, Joyce Kalu took to Instagram to express her support for May, calling her a strong and blessed woman who will overcome any negative or ungodly situation. She reminded May of the importance of protecting her mental health and spiritual well-being, especially for the sake of her children. Joyce reassured May of her prayers during this time of difficulty.

In addition to the rumors, Nigerian blogger Tosin Silverdam recently claimed that Yul Edochie is no longer married to his first wife, May. Silverdam stated that the divorce was reportedly finalized after May's request was granted by a court.
