Tribes is a series of first-person shooters set in the Metaltech universe, which evolved from Starsiege: Tribes (1998). The games retain elements of their battlemech vehicle simulator precursors, and are predominantly multiplayer-based, with the exception of Tribes: Vengeance (2004), which is also chronologically the prequel to the other games.
