Peter Brimelow is a British-American writer, columnist, and magazine editor. The founder of the VDARE website, an anti-immigration website associated with white nationalism, white supremacy as well as the alt-right. According to Peter “whites built American culture” and he believes that “it is at risk from non-whites who would seek to change it.”

Previously, Peter served as a writer and editor at National Review. He also served as a columnist for Dow Jones’ MarketWatch. In 1999, he founded the Center for American Unity and served as its first president. The journalist describes himself as a paleoconservative. Within the alt-right movement, Peter has been described as a leader.

The journalist rejects the labels of “white supremacist” and “white nationalist.” He instead prefers to be known as a “civic nationalist.” Peter had brought a lawsuit against The New York Times. However, the judge dismissed the lawsuit in January 2021  ruling that his being called a “white nationalist” was not defamatory.
