Cain and his son currently live peacefully together, but this was not always the case; he had to struggle for custody of his kid at one point. Cain, who has been raising his son alone since 2011, said:
“We just couldn’t agree on how to raise Christopher in the end.”
Cain was given sole custody in 2011 after the guardianship was divided in 2003. In 2003, when Cain’s son was just two years old, he was granted shared custody with Torres. Cain was granted sole custody of Christopher in 2011, after a judge approved the couple’s arrangement to raise Christopher in the same household. “This is the best option for him in terms of stability,” the actor explains.
Cain claims they are now on better, if still tight, terms. “Christopher sees his mother,” Cain says. “But she’s busy, and he’s secure with me.”
The actor was clearly talking to her ex-twins, Elijah and Isabella, who are now almost eight years old. Unlike many people, Cain is fond of his son’s half-siblings. He says:
“Elijah and Isabella are stunning. I’d do anything for those two.”
Cain remarked in an interview that his son is his favorite person on the earth and that he loves him unreservedly.
“He’s my all-time favorite human being. He’ll have to fight me kissing him.”
That and raising his son alone seems to have harmed his love life. Cain envies his buddies who go out every day and party, but he knows his priorities right now. And it’s not looking for a wife or girlfriend.
