Tywon Rowell Lawson, better known by his nickname Ty Lawson, is a former NBA player from the United States. He now plays basketball for the Basketball Africa League’s US Montasir (BAL). In the 2009 NBA draft, he was chosen by the Minnesota Timberwolves. He did, however, make his NBA debut with the Denver Nuggets. Ty played college basketball for the North Carolina Tar Heels men’s basketball team before joining the NBA.
