Ashley Flowers began her work at the University of Notre Dame as a genomics researcher. She eventually opted to work as a podcast host after some time. Later, she and her childhood friend Brit Prawat began producing several podcast programmes based on true-crime series.

She  and Brit Prawat established their own podcast show called ‘Crime Junkie,’ according to Wikipedia. This show premiered on December 17, 2017. Crime Junkie is now a well-known true-crime audio show. As a podcast host, she has also worked with Spotify.
