What is the Professional Career of Collin Morikawa?

Morikawa made his professional debut at the 2019 RBC Canadian Open, finishing in a tie for 14th place. Morikawa tied for second place at the 3M Open on July 7, 2019. He tied for fourth place at the John Deere Classic on July 14. Morikawa earned PGA Tour membership for the 2019–20 season as a result of his results.

Two weeks later, Morikawa claimed his first PGA Tour event, the Barracuda Championship, by three points over Troy Merritt. After 72 holes, Morikawa was tied for first place in the 2020 Charles Schwab Challenge on June 14, 2020. Morikawa lost to Daniel Berger after missing a short par putt on the first playoff hole. Morikawa missed his first cut on the PGA Tour at the 2020 Travelers Championship on June 26, 2020, breaking a run of 22 consecutive cuts, second only to Tiger Woods’ 25.

At the Workday Charity Open on July 12, 2020, Morikawa defeated Justin Thomas in a playoff to earn his second PGA Tour championship. He won for the first time on the PGA Tour in a non-alternate event. With three holes left, Morikawa rallied from a three-shot deficit, making a 25-foot birdie putt on the first playoff hole to stay alive, then winning with a par on the third playoff hole.
