Nick Zano’s real name is Nicholas Scott Crapanzano, and he was born on March 8, 1978, in Nutley, New Jersey. He dreamed of becoming a Navy Seal since he was a child, growing up with his father, mother, Linda Calise, and sisters. However, after seeing the film Goodfellas when he was 12 years old in 1990, he decided to pursue a career as an actor.
He attended Wellington High School in West Palm Beach, Florida, after his family relocated there. He was active in both the drama and TV production departments at high school, as he had a strong desire to become an actor by this time. He and his friends produced a weekly television program during his junior year. For three years in a row, they also produced a series of short films that competed in the JVC Universal Film Competition semifinals.
He was offered a job at Prelude Pictures’ Television and Feature Film Development shortly after graduating from high school, where he had the opportunity to work with a number of notable film figures.
