Yulia Shapovalova is presently employed with RT International (formerly known as Russia Today). Since the channel’s inception in 2005, she has been a Moscow-based news presenter. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the N.G Chernyshevsky State University in Saratov.

Yulia Shapovalova has a lot of expertise in the media. She has been with RT International for a long time. Also she earned a bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature from Saratov State University. She is fluent in French (Professional working proficiency) and English, as she is a native Russian speaker (Full professional proficiency).

Yulia Shapovalova then joined RT in 2005 as a broadcast journalist. RT was founded on April 6, 2005, and currently has 22 bureaus in 19 nations and territories, including Washington, New York, London, Berlin, Gaza, Cairo, Baghdad, and other major global cities. From 2006 to 2007, she worked as a broadcast journalist for a year before shifting to a correspondent for another year. She went on to work as a news anchor for eight years, from 2007 to 2015. Finally, she is now employed at RT in Moscow, Russian Federation, as a news presenter and producer.

Yulia Shapovalova was also a witness to the 2010 Moscow Metro bombings. She explained that it happened when she got home from her night work. When she arrived at the station, she heard an explosion and immediately began filming the events.
