Falkner received her BFA in fine arts from the San Francisco Art Institute in 1989. She began her culinary career in 1990 as the chef at a French Bistro Cafe Claude. She moved into French fine dining at Masa’s with Chef Julian Serrano after working there for a while. In 1993, Falkner was hired as the pastry chef at Elka in the Miyako Hotel.

One of the culinary arts’ forefathers. Throughout her long career, she has received numerous awards and recognition on a global scale. In 2021, she relocated from San Francisco to New York and opened Krescendo, a pizzeria, as well as the Italian Bistro Corvo Bianco.
