Channing Frye is a former professional basketball player from the United States. Until his retirement in 2019, he was a power forward in the National Basketball Association (NBA). In the NBA draft of 2005, he was chosen by the New York Knicks. With that selection, he became the first college senior to be drafted that year. He had played college basketball for the Arizona Wildcats before joining the NBA. Frye had a stellar career there, winning numerous awards and leading his team to NCAA tournament victories.
