Shemar Moore is an American actor and former host of Soul Train. He was born on April 20, 1970 in Oakland, CA and gained fame for playing Derek Morgan in the CBS drama Criminal Minds. He also hosted Soul Train from 2000 to 2003 and made his return to television in 2017 with a role on the show S.W.A.T.
