John Stallworth was born in Tuscaloosa, AL on July 15, 1962. Former NFL wide receiver who played 14 seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers, from 1974 until 1987. His reception of a 75-yard touchdown pass from Terry Bradshaw in Super Bowl XIII helped the Steelers defeat the Dallas Cowboys 35-31. He attended Alabama A&M University where he studied business.

It is considered to be one of the best wide receivers in the history of the NFL. He played college football at Alabama A&M and was the Steelers’ fourth-round pick in 1974. Stallworth took part in six AFC championships and went to four Super Bowls. His career statistics included 537 receipts for 8,723 yards and 63 TDs. Stallworth’s total reception was a franchise record until it was overtaken by Hines Ward in 2005. Stallworth played in three Pro Bowls, and he was the Steelers’ two-time MVP. He was introduced to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2002.
