Eden auditioned for the first season of The Voice, an Australian reality talent program. She made her first appearance on the show on April 15, 2012, singing James Brown’s “It’s a Man’s World.” Eden sang an original song called “I Was Your Girl,” which she co-wrote with a friend and a version of Lorraine Ellison’s “Stay with Me Baby” during the first half of the grand final on 17 June 2012.
On June 18, 2012, Eden was named the season’s winner during the second half of the grand final. Eden played her first single “You Won’t Let Me” for the first time after she was named the winner. She won a $100,000 reward, a Ford Focus automobile, and a recording deal with Universal Music Australia.
