Dr. Rick Knabb is a mature and prominent American meteorologist who was director of ‘The Hurricane Center‘ and currently working for The Weather Channel as an on-air hurricane expert and tropical program manager.

Growing up, watching the weather news channel, Rick has set his mind since childhood to work for the safety of people by warning them about the severe weather conditions.
To pursue his dream, he completed his Bachelor in Atmospheric Science from Purdue University.
To uplift his knowledge, he again joined Florida State University and took a degree of Masters and Ph.D. in meteorologist.
After graduation, he started working for the National Hurricane Center (NHC) and became Senior Hurricane Specialist after working there for some years.
Then he served as a deputy director of the Central Pacific Hurricane Center in Hawaii.
He shifted his job to the Weather Channel in 2012 and again rejoined NHC to become a director.
