John Bennett Perry is a singer and actor from the United States who began his career as a professional model in the 1960s. He is well-known for his appearance in the legendary Old Spice advertisements in the 1960s and 1970s as a ‘clean-shaven’ sailor. Perry has appeared in numerous Broadway productions as well as popular musicals as a theatre artist. He also started a band with his brother and became well-known in his community. Perry made his film debut in the mid-1970s and went on to play a variety of supporting roles over the years. His work may be seen in films such as ‘Lipstick’, ‘The Legend of the Lone Ranger,’ and ‘Independence Day.’ In his fifty-year career, he has also appeared in various television shows such as ‘240-Robert,’ ‘Paper Dolls,’ and ‘Falcon Crest.’

Perry grew up with his brother Tony, with whom he had a close relationship. He attended St. Lawrence University in St. Lawrence County, New York, and was a member of the fraternity Phi Sigma Kappa.
