Career
Making two solo tackles, Skrine made his professional regular-season debut in the Cleveland Browns’ 27–17 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. During a 35-yard kick return by Tate in the second quarter, Skrine made his first career tackle on the kick returner. Skrine was promoted to Nickelback on November 5, 2011, after Dimitri Patterson hurt his knee the week before. During a 20–17 overtime loss to the Arizona Cardinals in Week 15, he recorded two solo tackles, a pass deflection, and his first career interception.
In the fourth quarter, Skrine intercepted a ball attempt by quarterback John Skelton intended for Early Doucet and returned it for five yards. In 16 games and zero starts, he finished his first season with 18 combined tackles (14 solo), two pass deflections, and an interception.
