Im moved to Australia with her family when she was nine years old from South Korea. She won the fifth season of The X Factor Australia, and Sony Music Australia signed her to a recording contract. She left Sony Music in 2020 and joined ABC Music, where she is managed by Ken Outch of Maven Agency.

Im released her debut and winner’s song “Alive” after winning The X Factor, which debuted at number one on the ARIA Singles Chart.
