Madolyn Smith was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the USA on January 1, 1957. Little to nothing is known about her childhood or early education, until she enrolled at the University of Southern California, in Los Angeles.
There is no disclosed information regarding her parents, any siblings, or where she lived her childhood years. Nor when she relocated from Albuquerque to Los Angeles, or when she first exhibited an interest in acting.
Career
Smith was 23 years old at the time of her first big appearance, in “Urban Cowboy”, a John Travolta drama western from 1980 in which she played Pam, a romantic interest of Travolta’s character, Bud. She later co-starred in other films of that era, including “All of Me” from 1984 and “2010”, a sequel to “2001: A Space Odyssey” from the same year.
Madilyn Grace Smith appeared in other movies on television too, including “Rehearsal for Murder”, “Pray TV”, and “Deadly Intentions”. She has represented several real-life persons, notably Jehan Al Sadat, spouse of Anwar Al Sadat, former Egyptian president, in the miniseries “Sadat” from 1983, and Ernie Kovacs’ unstable wife Dorothy, in the TV movie “Ernie Kovacs: Between the Laughter” that aired the following year.
