Career
Cavanaugh is the youngest of four brothers, all of whom are musicians. His parents got him a piano when he was seven years old, and he began playing right away. At the age of 12, he performed his first club show. When he was 13, his aunt drove him from Cleveland to New York City to see his first Broadway musical. Cavanaugh began playing keyboard with bands at weddings and other gatherings many times a week by the age of fourteen.
His first full-time job as a musician was an extended engagement at Blazing Pianos on International Drive in Orlando, Florida.
