He was an American football linebacker and defensive end for the National Football League’s Kansas City Chiefs (NFL). Thomas attended Alabama and was drafted fourth overall in the 1989 NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs, where he spent his entire 11-year career until his death in 2000. He was named to nine Pro Bowls and three first-team All-Pro teams, and he still holds the record for most sacks in a single game with seven.
