Ginger is an impromptu speaker and national-level debater.

Ginger Tapp Gonzaga was born on May 17, 1983, in Pennsylvania, and grew up in Modesto, Stanislaus County, California. Adele L (Tapp) and Christopher Deipirine Gonzaga are her parents. Ginger’s father is from the Philippine island of Cebu. Her mother is Caucasian and thought to be Dutch. She is presently a resident of Hollywood, California. Ginger earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and a minor in Chinese from the ‘University of California,’ Santa Barbara. Ginger saw a show at ‘The Groundlings,’ an improvisation and sketch-comedy theatre, during her sophomore year. She auditioned for ‘The Groundlings’ and was immediately cast. She learned a lot about improvisational theatre there. Ginger Gonzaga later took training at ‘The Second City,’ a Chicago-based improvisational comedy company. Ginger appeared in the 2009 ‘CBS Diversity Sketch Showcase’ after graduation. She has also performed at numerous Los Angeles comedy clubs as well as US military locations in South Korea.
