John Candy- Biography

John Candy, sometimes known as John Franklin Candy, was a Canadian actor best known for his roles in Hollywood films. He was most known for his roles in the television series ‘Second City,’ as well as in the films ‘Stripes,’ ‘Home Alone,’ ‘Splash,’ ‘Uncle Buck,’ ‘Only the Lonely,’ ‘JFK,’ and ‘Planes, Trains, and Automobiles.’ During his career, he also appeared in a number of television movies, including ‘The Courage of Kavik, the Wolf Dog,’ ‘The Canadian Conspiracy,’ ‘The Last Polka,’ ‘Hostage for a Day,’ and ‘Really Weird Tales,’ to mention a few.

Unfortunately, the excellent actor’s life ended tragically, and he died at a young age. He died of a heart attack while filming the Western parody ‘Wagons East,’ at the age of 43. Candy was honored on multiple occasions following his death. Ween’s album ‘Chocolate and Cheese’ was dedicated to the late Canadian singer. Aside from that, his followers have demanded that the Canadian Screen Awards be renamed “The Candys” in his honor.

John Franklin Candy was born on October 31, 1950, in Newmarket, Ontario, Canada parents Evangeline (Aker) Candy and Sidney James Candy. He went to Neil McNeil Catholic High School before going on to Centennial Community College and McMaster University.
He had various health problems as a result of his weight. On March 4, 1994, he died unexpectedly while on a trip to Mexico. He was only 43 years old. His death was attributed to a big heart attack.
