Jazzie and Soul II Soul would host a legendary night at the Africa Centre in Covent Garden from 1985 to 1989. The Soul II Soul song “Fairplay” was recorded there shortly before the group’s mainstream success. The Africa Centre nights would be commemorated in the 2003 compilation “Soul II Soul At The Africa Centre.”
