Dong Nguyen- Biography

Dong Nguyen was born on November 23, 1985, in Hanoi’s Van Phuc village. From a young age, he was interested in programming and game development, and he began learning coding on his own.

He began coding on his own at the age of 16 while playing Super Mario Bros. and Counter-Strike Go. At the age of 17, he learned how to code his computer chess game. Three years later, he enrolled at the Hanoi University of Science & Technology (HUST) to study Computer Engineering.

Education

Although little information about his education has been released, he graduated from Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) with a degree in Computer Engineering. At the age of 19, he won an internship at Punch Entertainment (Vietnam), a prominent Japanese IT business that specializes in social games, by placing in the top 20 of a programming competition. During this time, he was inspired to create a game similar to Flappy Bird, a basic game with classic aesthetics and difficult stages.
