Alexandra Patricia Morgan Carrasco is the youngest soccer player drafted for the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
She was born on July 02, 1989 in San Dimas, California. In 2016, she started playing for Orlando Pride as forward and is part of the USA’s Women’s Team. She is also the author of a middle-school book about soccer-playing kids called “The Kicks.” Aside from her soccer and writing career, she is also an endorser of many popular brands such as Nike, AT&T, and Coca-Cola.
She earned the name “Baby Horse” from her teammates in the US National Team due to her speed while playing. Before breaking through the international soccer industry, she studied at Diamond Bar High School where she became the all-league-pick for three times. During this time, she was recruited to join the US under-20-women’s National Team. She spent her college years at UC Berkeley. From 2007 to 2010, she was a part of the California Golden Bears and had a career of 45 goals and 107 points for her team. She graduated with a degree in Political Economics in UC Berkeley a semester ahead of schedule.

Family
Alex grew up with her parents Pamela and Michael Morgan. She also has two more sisters, Jeni and Jeri. Her sister Jeri appeared on the TV show “Miss Rose White.” They continuously supported her love for sports and openly showed their support for her and Team USA during the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Husband
On December December 31, 2014, Alex married Orlando City’s midfielder, Servando Carrasco. He was born on August 13, 1988, and spent most of his growing up years in Tijuana in Mexico. They both met at UC Berkeley during college. They were together for seven years before deciding to settle down. Their wedding was attended by their friends and family alike; Alex described her wedding day as the “best day.”
Athletic Career
She played sports even when she was younger. In fact, she won the Coast Soccer League with her team for the under-16 category and 3rd place when she joined the under-19 category. She was popular for her agility on the field which contributed a lot to the success of her teams. She grew up playing multiple sports but eventually made a career out of playing soccer.
For a season, she played for the Western New York Flash where she appeared in 14 matches. She scored 4 goals in total during her stay with the club. They won the season title and the WPS Champion title during that year. After her time in New York Flash, she transferred to Seattle Sounders. Together with her were her national teammates and they won nine 9 of 10 matches in their home court. However, Alex only made three regular appearances during the season due to her 2012 Summer Olympics preparation.
In 2013, she joined Portland Thorns for the 2013 National Women’s Soccer League. She led the team’s victory against Seattle Reign FC with a 2-1 score. She finished the season with 8 goals and 5 assists. She was also both point leader and scoring leader during the season. During the 2014 season, she scored a total of six goals. Because of her participation in the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup, she only made 4 appearances for the team.
After her time with Portland Thorns, she was traded to Orlando Pride. She made 15 appearances for Orlando Pride and scored 4 goals in total. She then signed with Olympique Lyonnais on January 05, 2017.
