Who is Ann Curry?

Ann Curry is an American journalist and photojournalist. People mostly know her for reporting on the wars in Syria, Darfur, Congo, Lebanon, Israel, Afghanistan, and Kosovo among others.

Additionally, from 2005 to 2011, she was the anchor of ‘Dateline NBC.’

Curry was born in Guam on November 19, 1956. She was born to parents Hiroe Nagase and Robert Paul “Bob” Curry. Her parents met when her father worked as a streetcar conductor.

Additionally, she is the eldest of five children. Throughout her childhood years, she lived in Japan. She is of American nationality. Furthermore, she belongs to a mixed ethnic background of English, Irish, Scottish, German, and Japanese.

Talking about her education, Curry attended the Ernest J. King School. In addition, she graduated from Ashland High School. She also received a  B.A. in journalism from the University of Oregon in 1978.
