Janna Ryan was born in 1969 in Oklahoma, the United States. Her birth name is Janna Christine Little. She is of British-Irish ethnicity.

She is the daughter of Dan Little and Prudence Little. Her mother, Prudence passed away on 22nd May 2010 at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Both of her parents were former professional attorneys.

She has two younger sisters; Dana Little Jackson and Molly Little Olcott. Along with them, she grew up in a well-off family.

Moving to her academics, she graduated from Wellesley College in Wellesley. Later, she attended George Washington University and earned her bachelor’s degree in Law.
