Who is Iana Salenko?

Iana Salenko is a well-known Ukrainian-German ballet dancer with thousands of social media followers. Salenko is best known for her work as a main dancer with the Berlin State Ballet.

Iana Salenko has also performed with the Donetsk Opera and Ballet Theatre and the Kyiv Ballet.

Salenko has also appeared in galas and theaters in Croatia, Russia, Italy, Poland, the Netherlands, Taiwan, Germany, Slovakia, and Slovenia.

She has also appeared in films such as The Nutcracker and Sleeping Beauty.

Iana Salenko was born in Kyiv, Ukraine, on July 19, 1983. She is of Ukrainian and German descent. She was born with the sign of Cancer, according to her natal date. She hasn’t revealed her ethnicity or her religious beliefs.

Salenko began with gymnastics and folk dancing. When she was 12, her father enrolled her in a ballet school.

She had an eating disorder, which left her frail and injured. Pisarev’s sister, the school’s director, fed her and took her to treatment, and she recovered rapidly. Iana graduated in the year 2000.

Iana Salenko was invited to the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet in St. Petersburg when she was 14, but her mother thought it was too far away, instead, she trained at Vadim Pisarev’s school in Donetsk, which is 400 kilometers from Kyiv.

At the age of 15, she became one of Pisarev’s dancing partners, performing with his company, Donetsk Opera and Ballet Theatre.
