Meyers was born to her parents Patricia and Bob Meyers on March 26, 1955, in San Diego, California, United States.

She is of Caucasian ancestry.

Her father worked as a guard for the Shooting Stars, a professional team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and for Marquette University.

Ann Meyers had a brother namely Dave who played for the men’s basketball team and later played in the NBA.

Education

Ann Meyers joined Cornelia Connelly High school and then transferred to Sonora High School in La Habra, California where she engaged in more competitive play.

Meyers was the first high school student to play for the U.S. national team in 1974.  Ann Myers became the first woman to earn a 4-year athletic scholarship from UCLA Bruins women’s basketball team from 1974 to 1978.
