Tom Ellis got married to Meaghan Oppenheimer on 1 June 2019. She is an American television and movie screenwriter, producer, and former child actor. The couple gave birth to a daughter named  Dolly Ellis-Oppenheimer, via surrogacy on 8 November 2023.

He also married English actress Tamzin Outhwaite in 2006. The couple had two children together before divorcing in April 2014. One child was born after their relationship was over.
