Patrice Failor has been married to former FBI director James Comey since 1987 for 30 years now. They first met at William and Mary College in Williamsburg, Virginia, when they were both freshmen.

They married after their graduation. The couple together had six children, of which one son, named Collin died at the age of just 9 days, due to a Group B Strep infection.

At that time, the couple already had two daughters and a son. Their surviving children are Abby, Claire, Brien, Kate, and Maurene.

They are residing in Westport, Connecticut. Their daughter, Maurene also attended William and Mary College and then Harvard Law School.

Her husband, James Comey got one of the only chuckles during his otherwise fairly tense Senate testimony on June 8 when he publicly regretted canceling plans with his wife to have his now-infamously awkward dinner with Donald Trump.
