Sofia Huerta is a Mexican-American professional soccer player. Currently, she plays for Adelaide United in which she got transferred from Chicago Red Stars on loan. As an international player, she represents the United States. Previously, she was in the Mexico women’s national football team in 2012–2013.

Sofia was born on December 14, 1992, in Boise, Idaho, United States. She is the daughter of Mauricio Huerta and Jody Jensen Huerta. Furthermore, she is American by nationality and her ethnicity is unknown. From the beginning of her childhood, she had a keen interest in sports and began to play soccer and basketball from a very early age.

Talking about her education, Sofia joined Centennial High School in Boise, Idaho. Later, she played her college soccer at Santa Clara University in Silicon Valley, Santa Clara, California. During her college career, she managed to net 47 goals in 81 matches.
