Sapphire is a famous American author as well as a performance poet. Her first novel, Push became a huge hit and sold hundreds of thousands of copies. Later in 2011, she launched a semi-sequel to Push named The Kid.
Sapphire’s Early Life, Childhood, and Education
Sapphire was born on August 4, 1950, in Fort Ord, California, United States. She has three siblings and her parents were in the army. Talking about her childhood, it was not easy at all.
Talking about her education, the Push novelist dropped out of high school and moved to San Francisco. Later, she completed her graduation from the City College of New York with an MFA degree from Brooklyn College.
