Trae Young, age 21, was born as Rayford Trae Young on 19 September 1998 in Lubbock, Texas. He is the oldest child of his parents, Candice Young and Rayford Young. His father, Rayford, previously played basketball at Texas Tech and had his professional stint in Europe. Trae’s siblings include a younger brother, Timothy, and two younger sisters, Caitlyn and Camryn.

Standing at a tall height of 6 feet and 2 inches (1.88 m), Trae grew up in Norman, Oklahoma. There, he attended Norman North High School and began his amateur basketball career. Later, the young prospect headed to Oklahoma University only to prosper his sporting credentials.

It just took one college season for Trae Young to book his place in the NBA league. As a freshman for Oklahoma Sooners, he recorded the regular season stats of 271 assists, 161 turnovers, 848 points, 27.4 points per game, and 8.7 assists per game in as many as 32 starts.
Following that, Trae was picked fifth overall by the Dallas Mavericks in the 2018 NBA Draft on 21 June 2018. However, Mavericks traded him to the Atlanta Hawks and he officially signed a contract with the Hawks on 1 July 2018. Trae recorded a season-high 35 points and 11 assists in the Hawk’s 133-111 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Reportedly, Trae’s salary at the Atlanta Hawks reads the figure of $5,363,280 in the 2018/19 season. Besides, his salary for the 2019/20 season is expected to be $6,281,280.
