Career
Lee was born in New York City but moved to Los Angeles when he was a child. He wanted to study kinesiology at first, but at California State University, Long Beach, he changed his major to acting. He was also a founding member of the Four Clowns performing ensemble.
He has his first major part in the web series Ktown Cowboys, opposite Lanny Joon. He has guest-starred on Scandal, Modern Family, and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, among other shows.
He made his Broadway debut in Qui Nguyen’s Vietgone at the Manhattan Theatre Club in 2016. For his off-Broadway debut as Quang Nguyen, a Vietnamese refugee in the United States, he won a Theatre World Award.
