“It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Chadwick Boseman.” Chadwick was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016 and has spent the last four years fighting it as it advanced to stage IV. Chadwick, a genuine fighter, persevered through it all, bringing you many of the films you have come to adore. All of the films, from Marshall to Da 5 Bloods, August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, and others, were shot while and in between multiple surgeries and chemotherapy treatments. Bringing King T’Challa to life in Black Panther was the greatest honor of his career. He died at home, surrounded by his wife and family. The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers and requests that you respect their privacy at this difficult time.
