Haynesworth was drafted in the first round of the NFL Draft by the Titans after playing collegiate football at the University of Tennessee. Between 2007 and 2008, Haynesworth was a member of the Titans for seven seasons, establishing himself as one of the league’s greatest defensive tackles. During both seasons, he was named to the Pro Bowl and first-team All-Pro teams.
After his 2008 season, Haynesworth became a highly sought-after free agent, and he signed a seven-year, $100 million contract with the Washington Redskins. Haynesworth, on the other hand, would only play 20 games for Washington in two seasons before being moved in 2011. As a result, Haynesworth’s signing by the Redskins is widely regarded as the worst free-agent signing in NFL history.
