Rob Schmitt-Biography

Rob Schmitt is a Fox & Friends First co-host and news anchor from the United States. Schmitt co-hosts Fox & Friends First, which airs weekdays from 5:00 to 6:00 a.m. ET on Fox News Channel (FNC). Schmitt joined the network as a weekend news anchor and general assignment reporter in June 2016.

He was an anchor for WNBC-TV (NBC 4) in New York before joining FNC, where he oversaw the 12 Noon News while also delivering reporting to the 5 and 6 p.m. newscasts. Rob began his career at WPLG-TV (ABC) in Miami and served as an anchor and reporter for CBS2/KCAL9 (CBS) in Los Angeles.

Schmitt has kept up with the sport and has hit the links with co-anchor Jillian Mele, who is also a golfer. In June 2018, they both took part in the Ray Pfeifer Foundation Golf Classic in Lake Success, New York. The yearly event raises funds to assist September 11th first responders, firefighters, and police with uninsured medical expenditures.
