After relocating to Los Angeles, he adopted the stage name David Anders to avoid confusion with another actor who went by the name David Holt. He appeared as a high school senior in the Olsen twins’ 2001 series So Little Time. Later that year, in 2001, he landed the role of Julian Sark in Alias; originally a guest star, Anders was promoted to regular status and stayed there until 2006. Anders worked at The Gap and taught tennis before making his acting debut in Alias. Anders made guest appearances on television shows such as Charmed, CSI, and Grey’s Anatomy between 2001 and 2006 while working on Alias. He also contributed to the films Into the Blue 2: The Reef and The Revenant. He also appeared as a guest star in the eighth season of 24.
