Bob Baffert is best known as a horse rider. Decorated racehorse trainer who won multiple Kentucky Derbies, Preakness Stakes, and Belmont Stakes. His American Pharaoh horse won the Triple Crown in 2015. He was born on January 13, 1953, in Nogales, AZ. Lucien Laurin is also a former jockey who went on to train the winner of the Triple Crown. He grew up racing the Quarter Horses at his family ranch in Nogales, Arizona. He worked as a jockey racer in his teens and won his first win at the age of 17 in 1970. He began training Thoroughbreds in the 1980s. He made his first big break in 1992 when he won his first Breeder’s Cup race with Thirty Slews.
