EARLY LIFESTYLE

Born to Father, Richard Caplan; a lawyer, and Mother Barbara; a political aide in Los Angeles on 30th June 1982, Elizabeth Anne Caplan is the youngest of the three children. She spent her childhood in the Miracle Mile district. She completed her schooling from Alexander Hamilton High School. At the age of 13, Caplan lost her mother, who was suffering from cancer.  At high school, she learned to play the piano but later pursued drama. She was a very generous student at the time of her school days. Lizzy Caplan was also a part of her school’s soccer team. Caplan is from a Jewish family. She is also the niece of publicist Howard Bragman.

Lizzy Caplan completed her high graduation in 2000 but decided not to go to college to pursue her career in acting.

CAREER

Her career in acting started from the role of Sara, in the series “Freaks and Geeks” which is 8.8 rated on IMDb. After the series, she made appearances as a guest in different series and did a music video for Jason Mraz’s You and I Both. Her first film was From Where I Sit, which did not release in theatres but instead released on TV directly. She took the role of Tina Greer in Smallville and appeared in Once and Again for two episodes. She starred as Faith Pitt in 2003 series The Pitts before appearing in the 2004 film mean Girls as Janis Ian for which she gained wide attention.

Lizzy Caplan made an appearance in Tru Calling’s second season as Avery Bishop. Before taking the film, Love is the Drug, for which she was listed in Variety’s “10 Actors to Watch” she starred in the comedy-drama Related. The next sitcom she was featured on was The Class, where she took up the role of Kat Warbler.

Lizzy Caplan gained more attention after her role in Cloverfield (2008) as Marlena Diamond; she was nominated at the Saturn Awards. This helps in increase of her net worth and a strong path on Hollywood. She did films like My Best Friend’s Girl, 127 Hours, Save the Date and Bachelorette in Sundance Film Festival and The Interview.
