He is the son of actress and talent agent Megan Johnson and actor Jon Jon Briones (born Ernesto Cloma Briones, Jr.). His sister is actress and singer Isa Briones. His father was born in Quezon City, Philippines, and became a U.S. citizen in 2010. His mother is American, with Swedish and Irish ancestry. Teo was raised in Los Angeles, California, from a young age.
